Kansas: The Republicans lost me and I think the election when Santorum started in with religion. Nobody said he’s out of line. That’s insulting, like we’re kids. He’s from the Middle Ages. As a woman, I resent his attitude. I say that as a Catholic, but he would say I’m a lapsed Catholic, I’m sure.

Kansas: I’m a Republican and a Christian. I am absolutely angry that Rick Santorum got into his ultra-right religious beliefs. That’s a disqualifier for me.
Who is he to preach like somehow he’s God’s messenger? All these guys have got crazy religious views. Mormons and all those wives. Except that Ron Paul has crazy views on everything else. Here I was, thinking Santorum was sane and he shows his true colors. For the first time ever, I’m voting Democrat.

Kansas: I never figured the Republicans would start talking about religion. I don’t get it. Do they want to lose? I mean, that’s just dividing us. That’s just letting Obama off the hook on jobs. What is it about Republicans that they are so dumb about politics?

Kansas: Do you think there’s so much talk about religion this time because the Muslims have been pushing so hard? I don’t know. I don’t really like it. I’m not comfortable with it. What caused this?

Kansas: I’m Catholic like Santorum but he’s gone overboard and I’m afraid of a backlash. We shouldn’t be imposing our beliefs on others. Gingrich says he’s Catholic but how many dispensations does he need? A lot, I guess.

Kansas: When will Gingrich stop? Confession doesn’t mean you can do it again and then confess again and then do it again.

Kansas: We have these Mormon missionaries come to our home every couple of months. I don’t want more of that. I know they’ll say I’m biased but we can’t have Romney if it means he’s going to have more of those missionaries.

Kansas: I don’t know how this thing got to be about abortion and birth control but it did. That’s helped Santorum. But I’m never going to vote for a fundamentalist so I might vote for Obama in November. And here I’m a Republican.
